We are looking for sales consultants and mechanics to join our brand new store opening in Tempe. We intend to open the store mid-late January but great candidates will be placed and trained under our strong leadership in the local stores of Kogarah, Alexandria and Stanmore. This is a huge opportunity for those interested in a career in retail and leadership, with growth there is always opportunity. 99 bikes seek to promote from within and are wholeheartedly dedicated to that development.

About Us:

99 Bikes opened the doors of its first tiny 170m2 shop in Milton, Brisbane in May 2007, a shop so small that we could only fit 99 bikes into the store. From that humble beginning, we have grown to become the largest bicycle retailer in Australia and now have over 600 people and over 70 retail stores in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. In the last 12 months we sold over 180,000 bikes and we have a loyal customer base of over 1.6 million Club 99 Members in Australia, part of our vision to be ‘The World’s Most Approachable Bike Shops’. Best Employer multi-award winner and global retail giant Flight Centre also bought into the business, giving us access to shared resources and enabling us to fast-track our growth.

In addition to our retail stores, we also own Advance Traders, a bicycle distributor importing popular brands such as Merida, Norco, BMC, plus many more. Together we form the Pedal Group and this integration has underpinned our growth and given our people much greater career opportunities. 

For instance, someone who started as a bike builder in a shop went on to become GM of our UK operation. Another of our Melbourne high achievers wanted to move to Canberra so we opened our first store there and she is now ACT State Leader of three shops. We build our business around our people, promote from within wherever possible, and have numerous training pathways to help them achieve their potential.

We are also very committed to balancing purpose with profit. Since 2017 we have donated the value of 1 % of our annual wage bill to charities chosen by our employees, including the RSPCA, Beyond Blue and the Children’s Cancer Institute. About The Role:

As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for hard-working, high achievers to start out as sales consultants and become our future specialists/business leaders.  Though many of our people love to cycle, you don’t have to be a bike expert as we offer complete on-the-job training and support, plus our own 7-program Leadership Academy.  More important to us is someone who is an excellent team player and can build great long-term trust and relationships with our customers. We’ll be looking to you to provide exceptional service so we can deliver on our vision of being ‘The World’s Most Approachable Bike Shops’.

Leaders will try to accommodate your needs when rostering as much as possible. Some flexibility is available and there is plenty of weekend work if desired.
